You made your point with the original post to both lists anyway.

By the way, I found that my general dissatisfaction and annoyance
quotients dropped dramatically once I got myself off the org list,
thereby removing the temptation to get involved in a whole lot of
contentious arguments.  I am now blissfully ignorant (apart from the
odd cross-post).  This may not apply to you, but it helped me.
