I had a similar experience. About an 80m cable run (via my own pole) from the
street to home. Intermittent disconnects.... finally realised they always
happened on hot summer afternoons (due to cable warming up- 25deg in Wgtn is
usually 35+ here :-) Paradise ran a second cable, but they were happy to leave
me both, so the TV/ph is on the old one, which which works fine, with the newer
dedicated line for the modem. The tech visited several times, always courteous
& trying to help. That was before Telstra got involved & the service dropped to
a Telecom like level.
