Right.  I've had trouble with RTL8139s autonegotiating before, and if
the problem was the Linux driver's fault, as opposed to the hardware's,
then it would have been useful to know.

On a vaguely related note, did they change your IP address when they
swapped your COM21 modem for a DOCSIS?
