[wellylug] Fax Servers and Why I choose WinFax

Not all of us are programmers, or can programme. Not everyone is born a
programmer.

I wish I could programme because I would fix the problem. I have looked at
about half of the projects on sourceforge and "personally" consider most of
them a waste of time. Sure, some of them are just pet projects that people
are working on (and no I am not bashing them) but some are just a joke.
(remember - personal opinion here).

I do help make Linux better by testing and reporting bugs. Sure, I don't do
it for a main stream distro, but I see Lycoris Desktop/LX as a very nice
desktop distro. Desktop/LX 1.4 which is going to be released later this
month rocks.

Michael,

Rather than complain about things that Linux needs to "get accepted by
the masses", why don't you start making an effort to fix those
deficiencies?

The people who release open source software do so predominantly for
little or no personal gain - they don't owe "the masses" anything, and
they certainly don't owe you anything.

If you see things wrong with the range of open source software
available, don't demand that someone hand you a solution on a plate; go
out and fix the problem for yourself.

If Linux is ever going to get accepted by the masses, it needs to have
proper GUI tools for doing admin jobs and setting up programs /
services.
