[wellylug] New Kernel Compile+ Keyboard Not Working

Hey, 

I just compiled a kernel 2.6.7 and rebooted the box, everything all
works well....... or so I thought.....

The keyboard does not work...........

I put the debian cd in and rescbf24 root=/dev/hda2 and keyboard works
fine.....   manually compiled kernel does not....

I have gone to the #kernel IRC channel and asked there, they asked me to
check if I had the following =y in the kernel config .. which I do...

CONFIG_INPUT_KEYBOARD=y
CONFIG_KEYBOARD_ATKBD=y

CONFIG_SERIO=y
CONFIG_SERIO_I8042=y


It's a PS2 keyboard..

Can any make any sujestions I can try

I just got 2.6.27 kernel, but would like to use 2.6 if I cna
