I also use the paradise 250 hrs/month @ $20 and find it pretty good as Nick says. I've downloaded overnight from 11pm to 7am and not got kicked off sometimes. On a Telecom line (we have no other option here) with a fair bit of noise i get connections ranging from 49.3 to 52 kbps. I had an external KTX and Dynalink modems connecting consistently at 49.3 but the current Dick Smith internal hardware modem nearly always connects at 52kbps and 49.3 or 40.2 on rare ocassions. As Nick says the only minor annoyance is the billing period which doesn't fit tidily into most of my payment cycles. i'd recommend the Paradise 250 hrs dialup plan based on my experience.
