Yes I find Paradise techs generally pretty good although there have been the odd ocassion when I was asking something I knew more about than the tech on the help desk or I knew of something they hadn't heard of. However whenever I mentioned connection problems in regard to a pc running Linux the stock answer was always "We don't support Linux, only Windows OS." I would reboot my dual boot pc and open windows while talking to them. Although fortunately most of my connection problems were with Windows OS. I've been with Paradise since 1998 so have limited experience of other ISPs but from ringing around and looking at other options and helping out friends who are on xtra and others with problems sometimes I find they are compare more thasn favourably. Organising my brother's family's connection about a year ago, I found Paradise the best offering after shopping around a bit. However I have noticed the waiting time when one rings the help desk getting longer all the ti
me (unless you ring about 2am) and they seem to add another link each time you ring "..if you are wearing purple socks dial 5,,, if they have holes in them dial 6 and we;'ll transfer you to our hosiery dept...." but everyone seems to do that today especially as they get bigger and /or taken over by someone else - apart from that they're fine.
