Hi Bill
I have installed a few of these modems myself and have found that using a
ethernet connection is the easiest in both windows (different versions) and
linux.
Regards
Michael

Subject: [wellylug] Connect modem via USB
Hi
I've been using Linux for the past year or so and have used a dial up modem
to connect to the internet. Recently we switched to Telecom's Jetstream
(which came ewith a D-Link dsl-302g adsl modem) and I connected up via usb
(as I don't have an ethernet connection) in Windows 98 using the install
disks supplied with the modem. My PC is a dual boot Windows 98 and Knoppix.
Can I connect Linux to the modem via usb or do I have to get an ethernet
connection and do it that way.
Cheers
Bill
