How's this for unfair then .... from being in the broadband backwater, the UK has now surged ahead of NZ.
My parents back in the UK are on a 512/256 ADSL plan with a 1Gb cap.  BUT if they go over their allotted data allowance, its an additional £1.20 (just over 3 bucks) per Gig thereafter.

Enough to make you cry, isn't it?
