I totally agree with the comment above.

I've barely started using MD10beta1, and beta2 is out already! That isn't much 
time at all to report bugs, I wonder why Mandrake is in such a hurry? It 
takes me about 3 days just to download the isos, it probably takes me more 
than a week from the initial announcement to installation, which only leaves 
a week or so for actually using the system and reporting bugs before the next 
release comes along.

Things are moving along at at tremendous rate (which is good); with the latest 
releases of the 2.6 kernel, KDE, Koffice, Xfree86 etc, the final release of 
Mandrake10 should be pretty good and will be much more current that the 9.2 
release was - in that 9.2 just missed out on the 2.6 kernel.

I don't mean to discourage people from downloading development versions of 
Mandrake. Beta1 is quite usable (although it does have several problems), and 
I'm looking forward to Mandrake10 when the final rc becomes available, and 
that isn't very far away at all.

And to think that one of the most used alternative operating systems has years 
between updates. And still has bugs.
