To expand a little:
One thing I wanted to avoid was having a committee who were elected to do
all the work and take the wrap for things not working while everyone else
sits on their hands and complains. I see the organising group more along
the lines of a group of coordinators who facilitate getting things done,
involving as many members as necessary.
The organising group isn't an exclusive body that has meetings behind
closed doors, all members are welcome to join in discussions and it is
intended that a new mailing list be set up for discussing Wellylug
organisational matters (just to keep it out of the main list), all members
are welcome to participate.
If a member thinks it is a good idea that the Wellylug does such-and-such
then that member should be prepared to muck in an help implement it, at the
very least be prepared to search out others who will help do it (whatever
'it' is :-).
The above is my interpretation of how things are and may not coincide with
the views of others in the organising group, but I'm sure they will point
out any areas of dispute ;-)
