[wellylug] clogged hard drive problem

Hi all,
I've got a bit of a problem with an overfull root directory in my reasonably
newly installed RH9.0 machine. It should be pretty much your standard defult
style home computer install. You know, games, open office, gnome. As far as I
can see I havent got anything installed which would be hogging heaps of hard
drive space although I cant be sure.

I've had a couple of freezes while doing stuff which may possibly have
generated some clogging stuff on the drive somewhere.

In order to get some help with this I've found out how much space is being used
by each of the root directories. This info may or may not be useful in finding
out if I've got any extra crap filling up my HDD.
bash - 4.5 M
boot - 5.0 M
etc - 10.9 M
lib - 46.5 M
mnt - 1300.0 M
proc - 200.0 M
sbin - 13.4 M
usr - 1400.0 M
var  -   49.0 M
All adding up to what seems to me to be a hefty 3.1 Gig.

Do any of the above look strangely chubby? Are they all more or less as they
should be? What would that 1.3 Gig in /mnt be?

Any help or ideas on how I can find out more would be appreciated

Cheers, Jeremy
