[wellylug] Dumb questions 101 - How to compile a more modern Kernel for Debian

if you are refering to the 2.2 default kernel in Woody's install CD's.. 

If you at install from CD type

Linux(or Lilo, Cant rembember): bf24

it will load and install the 2.4 kernel tree from install

I dunno if you wanna try that before a whole new recompile then it will
have iptable support it.
