[wellylug] A framework for WellyLUG (formalising renamed)

I echo Jamie's sentiment below.
Perhaps using the word 'formalising' is too strong - organizing a framework
might be better, just like any similar interest group or club does.
Tomorrow night is the meeting in the Hutt Valley. The 9th January (2 weeks
time) is the meeting in LAN Place.
Make your contribution to the LUG and have your say. This LUG is yours as
much as anyone's and how it continues is in your hands.
Remember - The reason for this proposal is to help organise events
(installfests, meetings) more effectively, to ensure any money raised
(sales, sponsorship) is put back into the LUG itself for everyone's benefit.
The proposed Rules would put a framework around these reasons.
Subscription can be $0 if membership so decided. But without some framework
to decide that how would anyone know? Issues so far have been dealt with
ad-hoc by individuals which is fine to a point but has stressed some people
as the interest group has grown.
Colin Klenner - vocal person.

My advice to everyone still stands as 'make your opinions known' - the LUG
is _your_ group and its future is in everyones hands, not just those of a
vocal minority. (Minority taken as the 6 or so people who have commented on
the formalisation via. the mailing list which currently comprises of 150
people ie. only 4% of people have passed any comment.)
