I doubt that you're likely to find binaries specific to Mandrake betas
all that easily. It might be worth trying to install the RPM for
Mandrake 9?

I'd say a distribution like Mandrake would have the preemption kernel
options enabled by default. I haven't had a chance to try them myself,
but from what I've heard they make a massive difference
Now all I need is 2.6 support for my motherboard :)
