Cooperative Linux seems to be a fairly recent project. The 0.5.1 release
was announced a few days ago and had slashdot coverage here:
<http://developers.slashdot.org/article.pl?sid=04/01/25/2124237&mode=thread&tid=106&tid=185&tid=190&tid=201>
Also have a look at umlwin32 which is based on the slightly more
established user-mode-linux:
<http://umlwin32.sourceforge.net/>
As for actual experience, I can't help out there. It seems like a
reasonable starting point for people who just want to have a 'tinker'
without going the whole nine yards - I personally used a couple of
floppy based distros similar in concept to knoppix when I was at this
stage, but I can see the merit in these projects. I'm not sure where
more advanced users could benefit from this sort of set up.. maybe a toy
for all those people working at windows-only shops?
