[wellylug] Remote X11 Screen attach/detach like thing

Does anybody know if its possible to automatically (via rc scripts or a cronjob
or somesuch) launch a X application on a remote pc without having an X desktop
running, then when one wants to view the application attach to it remotely in an
action akin to `screen -r` then un-attach from it, leaving the application
untouched and still running remotely?
