[wellylug] Error when checking email

I am getting the error:

Error while 'Opening folder vtrash:imap://dflists@Postbox/Trash':
Server unexpectedly disconnected: Operation now in progress

Sometimes when Evolution tries to check the email on my mail server PC
(postbox). The PC that is running the mail server is running
courier-imapd and courier-imapd-ssl under Gentoo.

The 'mail server' machine hosts 5 accounts which I check via IMAP,
sometimes wanting to check all at once.

The error would suggest to me that I'm running out of imap processes of
something similar but Ihave no idea how to fix it - can anyone help?
