I'm not much of a Windows user so I'm not really sure I can help, but
here's my thoughts:
First of all, I'd recommend not using RSA keys. DSA keys are more secure
(that's my understanding). Secondly, run the client (and even the daemon
if you need to) in debugging mode with -vvv.
If you find anything with that (I often run the daemon on another port
manually for debugging these sorts of things) post it here and we can see
what's going on.
