I got similar problems when building it on my laptop... I ended up
just munging the Makefiles a bit after running ./configure to get it
to build happily. It all works nicely now, by the way. :)
Tomorrow I'll make a list of the changes I made and post it here if you want.
I haven't used any of the more advanced calendar features
(invitations, etc), but the basic functionality definately works. :)
