[wellylug] Auto Update - Mandrake 10 *warning n00bie* :)

I was going to use Fedora Core 2 but it kept crashing while installing, I
couldn't be bothered to redownload the ISO that was borked so Mandrake 10
was the other option, the only other option was to use Windows Server 2003
(Trial) but I like a challenge :)

Is Mandrake really that bad though, I wouldn't think so?

I found this site for finding ftp sites to get the updates from, quite nice
and easy to use... http://urpmi.org/easyurpmi/index.php

still not much use - because it will then give ask if you wish to proceed
Y/n .... you need to --auto flag to always answer yes..

urpmi.update -a
urpmi --auto-select --update --auto

you might want to add the --keep flag too, otherwise it may remove packages
in order to upgrade others.

it all sounds a bit scrarey too me. Why are you using Mandrake as a server?
what kind of server?? mandrake's strength is desktop, not the unattended
server.
