uhm, given the current state of video editing, limiting yourself to kde
will not get you far.

i am aware of these 3:
kino (needs gnome libs)
cinelerra (neither gnome NOR kde)
cinepaint (gtk but not gnome)

both kino and cinelerra are very limited in what videoformats they work
with. which is a major drawback as you need to convert them first (and
be sure the conversion goes right and is not to lossy)
i did not manage to convert any video successfully yet

for cinepaint i have not even the slightest idea what format it needs.
