[wellylug] Problems with screen

Ahh cool, I'll change the setting in the rcfile.  If it's happened
twice, then it's likely to happen again.  On the other hand, if it never
happens again I'll still be happy :D

The version I'm running now is the current one in Sarge.  I was running
the Sid one previously without any issues.

The PC in question had a reinstall a couple of weeks back.  At the same
time, I changed the hard drive, motherboard and CPU.

I have a lingering suspicion that something might be wrong with the ram
that's in there .. I'm going to try to get around to running memtest86
on it this weekend.

This probably doesn't help you, but it means you have nethack-esque
error
messages enabled in your screenrc. Disable them to get a more meaningful
error message (perhaps). Although you might just get 'segfault'.

Downgrade to an older screen? Did you upgrade it recently? Upgrade to a
bleeding edge version? Compile from source, enable core dumps and debug
the core yourself?
