I'll bite, it's been a slow morning :-)

If you can find someone who has similarly compared the distros you prefer,
please post it here so LUG members have access to such comparisons?

Anyway, just to bite, I find "tainted" is an interesting chioce of words. 

Personally I wouldn't use it to describe a product which someome has added
value to to improve it to the point where people find it worth buying, and so
are willing to pay for what they believe is worthwhile added value over the
freely available offerings. 

Do the above untainted distro's avoid including any tainted code from evil
commercial organisations who sell their software?

Surely OO, as a product derived from Sun, must also be tainted, along with a
long list of filesystems, drivers and other bits? Similarly, Java, the PDF
format, anything to do with VESA (X must surely taint your distro :-) No more
MySQL.....

Of course this is only if you are consistent with your expressed opinion.
