This appears to be a good time to introduce a distro I've been building,
as a few people appear to be wanting to get a lightweight, fast distro.

Some of you may have heard me mention it before. I'm planning to bring
my desktop to the next wellington meeting, and show all intrested people
it.

Name: Jedo Linux
Version: 0.1 (Development)
Package System: RPM
Requirments:	i386, but GUI & it's programs require a i686.

Features:
Ultrafast - text based in 10 second on a celeron 422mhz, gui in 20
Small - From 300mb to 1.5gb
iptables
X.org
GNOME-2.6.0
Kernel-2.6.0 (but can run 2.4 series if wanted)
OpenOffice-1.1.1*
Samba*
Openssh
Apache, MySQL & PHP*
Rsync
XMMS + Ogg tools*
Gimp2*

* = to be added

Issues:
Currently GDM has a issue, of not wanting to start. I think it's because
of having part of gnome compiled for an 386. (it appears that gnome2.6
has bugs when compiled for a 386, which I found out halfway through.)

Also the installer. The installer needs a LOT of work to be done.
Currently, to install from the cdrom, you have to start the installer
manually, and there are a few hickups through out the process.

I'm planning to get the rest of the packages installed over the next 2
weeks, and a better installer written.

I would apperiate any help, mainly on the installer, but also, if
someone has some webspace they can donate for me to host the project.
(just need enough room to 2-3 cdroms (source & binary) and a few pages
(just HTML is fine), I would be very apperiative.

And yes, it is 100% NZ, but it hasn't got a website. :-)
