Hi there
Thanks for the replies regarding printing under Linux. I eventually made my 
choice for Cups. It works Ok, and fairly easy to manage. Obviously it is 
printer related, not sure If I had an unusual printer...
Anyhow.... 
Now I have Samba on my Linux server that has this printer and I need to print 
some old Corell stuff from my windows machine. 
My server is seen but is asking for a password to access. I have used the 
option : 
unix password sync = Yes
Thinking that my windows Network Neigh. would ask for Linux server password.
Nop... too easy !

It is probably very basic but I am getting confused with the gazillion 
options offered.
I do not want to share the disk, just the printer for users "me, myself and I"
