There is one set of drivers and they work with the 2.4 and 2.6 series although
I've found them stabler under 2.4.
Shouldn't be too hard.

1) Grab the driver from:
http://www.nvidia.com/object/linux_display_ia32_1.0-5336.html

2) As root, and with no x server running(ie, no kde, no gnome)
sh NVIDIA-Linux-x86-1.0-5336-pkg1.run

Should be pretty simple, you may need to install your kernel headers though,
it'll say something about not being able to compile the nvidia module. Hopefully
a simple matter of: apt-get install kernel-headers-2.4.25-1
Note though you may need diffent kernel headers, use uname and apt-cache search
linux kernel headers <ver from uname> and install what fits.
Shouldn't need kernel source.
Of course if you need to compile the nvidia module you'll need all the compiling
tools which you probably already have.

3) The file you will be editing will most likely be /etc/X11/XF86Confg-4
 From the nvidia readme file:

If you already have an XF86Config file working with a different driver
(such as the 'nv' or 'vesa' driver), then all you need to do is find
the relevant Device section and replace the line:

         Driver "nv"
     (or Driver "vesa")

with

         Driver "nvidia"

In the Module section, make sure you have:

         Load "glx"

You should also remove the following lines:

         Load "dri"
         Load "GLcore"

4) startx !
This is a rough hacked up guide, let us know if you have any problems, and if so
what you did, etc etc blah blah ramble ramble :D
