Two factors could make my situation different from yours: I'm using the
demo (free) version, and have a dialup connection. If you are maintaining
several servers, are you then using a paid subscription? My experience was
that up2date through RH worked fine under 7.3, but after I upgraded to 9.0,
things gradually got slower to the point where it wasn't working for me. I
understand that RH prioritises the paid subscribers, so that combined with
the increasing load on the up2date network seemed to be the reason for the
deterioration in the service. Even so, I have found it very useful to have
the monitoring program to tell me what packages are due for updating.
