Currently mplayer seems to be broken in debian unstable, but I have
previously been able to watch video from r2 without problems. It can be
done.

That said, I don't recall if I was streaming or not last time...

I just did some tests with xine, and found that I couldn't play the
wellylug streams. I can however play the "The One Ring .net - Premiere
Party" stream from http://www.r2.co.nz/20031130/torn-128.asx

Jeremy,
Can you confirm that everything is operational at your end?

When I try to view http://www.r2.co.nz/20040308/sam-128.asx I get an
error saying:

"There is no input plugin available to handle
'rtsp://L1.r2.co.nz/20040308/sam-128.wmv'.
Maybe MRL is wrong or file/stream source doesn't exist."

however as I said, the ringer party links work fine.

Cheers,
Tim Nicholas.
