Actually, it's not particularly tricky from my point of view.

While the LUG is of course free to agree on whatever policy it wants
regarding its mailing list (and the !cabal may wish to meet and make
such a decision), Naos isn't willing to host an advertising list.

When I agreed to host the list it was for user group members to
_discuss_ using Linux, issues they ran into, things they discovered,
etc.  If the character of the list changes substantially from that then
I'm going to take my ball and go home!  :-)
