Unfortunately, Linux 2.4 drivers will not work with Linux 2.6. There's no
backwards compatibility and all 2.4 drivers must be ported to the new
driver system in 2.6. There's little point in trying to get a 2.4 driver
to work, unless you are keen to look into the source. There are some 2.4
-> 2.6 driver porting guides around. If your driver is closed-source
(binary only) then, well, too bad :(
