[wellylug] Configuring a modem

Nick I am new to wellylug also and to linux.
Winmodems are fun for a while and you can learn a little about devices but
they wear thin.

Trying to install the 2.4 kernel ham driver was\(is) a little addictive.
Better we were told - impossible, no driver available.

Happy with my external modem now - at least I can get to the net now on
linux and read and learn.
