I used to send CVs to people in PDF format, but after having a number of
people reply back and request word document format I started sending
word copies. Unless I was sending directly to someone who I figured
would know what a PDF was. ;) Openoffice formatted html output oddly,
and I didn't want to rewrite the document... again...

The recruitment agencies seem to like plain word documents. It allows
them to modify them or stick them in their databases I guess.
