[wellylug] Gentoo - how do you install it?

Well, there is that.  It does require being able to kill some time. 
Bootstrap takes about two or three hours, and the emerge system takes
another five or six.

Have you dried Debian or Ubuntu?  They're a step up from mandrake, if
you're looking to learn more about linux...
