7:30 appears to be okay with many people I know. Also some people
proberly don't finish work till 5:30, so it could be a bit of a rush for
them.

You could always bring something from home for dinner. Heat it up in
your work's microwave. Or get something from subway or burger king.
(hey, it's once a month - treat yourself sometimes.)
