Subject: [wellylug] missing autoconf.h

ongoing inability to connect to the outside world (other than at work)

i have installed a winmodem (intel 536EP v.92) and downloaded the
drivers
from the intel site.
However when i run through the install process i get as far as entering
the
command "make 536" when i get this error
Make 536
module pre compile check
current running kernel is 2.6.3-7mdk
/lib/modules.. autoconf.h does not exist
please install kernel source
make: ***[check] Error 1

can anyone tell me where i can find autoconf.h and the simple(?) steps
to
get the winmodem installed and running?
i am trying to run mandrake 10.0
