Evolutions 'standard' syncing functionality is provided by gnome-pilotd
i believe. - as such it will likely only sync to Palm-compatible
devices, and most likely only serial ones.
I have synced my old PalmIIIxe quite happily with evolution etc. (Not
that i ever actually use the thing), but I understand there are many
problems with newer USB models e.g. Clie etc.
There is an app called MultiSync that will allow you to sync Evolution
with various things, so I would try that at first.
