[wellylug] Question about PVR-350

Has anyone out there had any experience using the Hauppauge PVR-350 in
a Linux-PVR solution?

Also, has anyone used the hardware MPEG2 decoding under Linux, and if
so, is it possible to display the decoded stream in a window on a
normal desktop, or does it have to be full-screen (e.g. to a TV via
TV-out)?  Decoding needs to be done on the card, not in software (e.g.
xine) to reduce CPU load.

Background: the Hauppage PVR-350 is a TV-tuner/video capture/TV-out
card which is relatively well supported in Linux.  It does on-board
MPEG-encoding and decoding.
