[wellylug] Windows on Linux

Consider installing Office onto your Mandrake install using WINE. WINE
is targeted most directly at running Office. I have Office 97, and it
installs and runs well.

http://frankscorner.org/ is a good site for info, howto's,
evaluations. Office 97 and Office 2000 are reported to work well - read
the notes about Office 2000.

Office XP seems to require Codeweaver's version - they report it works,
but with some bugs.

Installing this way means you can just use the software. I have both
dual boot with Win98 and VMware, and I would rather just start the
program and use it and WINE allows that with several Windows programs I
occasionally still want to use.

Cheers,
Bret
