[wellylug] simple firefox question

thanks for testing that out.

The distro I'm using is Ubuntu which I would have thought should be a pretty
close relative of sarge in all ways that matter.

Actually when I come to think of it I have had the same issue with firefox
on Windows XP so it has to be some stupid setting in about:config?

thanks again for your help

Mark

For the record, Firefox on my Debian Sarge system does not exhibit the
behaviour you're seeing.

I have a number of simple hostnames in my hosts file and they all work
fine from Firefox. Just to be sure, I added 'wombat' as an alias for my
ADSL router and that works too.

In the event that I misspell a hostname, my default Firefox behaviour is
to use Google's I'm feeling lucky search (keyword.enabled is set to
true).
