Make sure 'Server requires authentication' in the sending mail settings
is off.

You may find it won't work if you don't connect through their internet
connection.  I know some ISP's only allow mail sending and recieving
through an internet connection that they provide.  This is done to
reduce the risk of an people using them as a mail relay for spam
propogation among other things.  

I use Evolution 1.0.8 and 1.4.6 for my email with paradise.
