The nomachine server/client allows full gui remote access to a linux box 
desktop from anywhere on the net.

Go to http://www.nomachine.com/download.php and download and install the 
nomachine client for your distro.
You can then test by connecting to the Yoper demo server.
Use smallest bandwidth in fairness to others (modem)
Host demo.yoper.com
login demo
password demo
