Ermmm, sorry.  I really didn't read that far into the page.  I just
queried Google for the info.  There is a page called "Winmodems Are
Not Modems" out there somewhere that has info about the softmodems and
what chipsets they have, etc.  I used it extensively back in '01 and
'02 when I was procuring hardware for my company.  (Just to make sure
the modems worked under our modernised RH61 distro at the time!)

Sorry 'bout that again though.
