Yeah, I though it was pretty cool too. They only have one real distro and a
couple of off-the-disk ones, but I still think that's great. They also say
whether hardware will run well under liinux, and they generally provide
Linux drivers if they exist. They also sell laptops and desktops with no
pre-loaded OS, so you can stick Linux on and not have to worry about paying
for unwanted Windows.
The other place to get distro's without downloading them and without
bothering LUG members (who don't seem to mind anyway) is from magazines - I
think you can grab Suse, Fedora Core 2.0, Slackware 10.0 and various others
off the covers of mags that are on the shelves at the moment, but the mags
do cost $25-$30. Way too much really, but it is convenient.
