[wellylug] GPL Licence

thanks all for your replies,

yes, like Brent said, it's for my distro.

I've released 0.2 with the licence basicly as:

Jedo Linux is published under the GPL, but all packaged software is
published under their own respective licences.

aka: Jedo Linux programs (currently only scripts) are GPL'd, while
everything else are under their own licences.

This appears to be basicly the same as other distros, which have a
licence for their own componants & then say all other componants are
published under their own respective licences.

To solve my distribution issues, I plan to have Jedo Linux only officaly
distributed by me, as a product, which has to be brought (say $10). That
product includes source & binary on CDROM's. That is accepted by the
open source licences used, and it counts as redistributing the source.
:-)

I can't have a offical FTP server, as I can't afford full time hosting
for data & bandwidth that size. :-(

Then, there is also a download page, where there are links to unoffical
download servers, provided by people like Nigel & Citylink, where Jedo
Linux can also be downloaded.

does that make sense?
