Haven't you heard?  You can use modern mice with OSX with no problems
these days.  Hell, IIRC, you've been able to do that since System 8...

But rumour has it that Apple's got a two-button mouse in the works. 
The reason why it hasn't happened yet?  Easy: Apple's a BIG subscriber
to the KISS principle...  Keep It Simple, Sonny. You DO need to admit
that it solves a lot of confusion:

Techie: Click on the icon on your desktop
L00ser: Right-click or Left-click?

Been there, done that (as a techie, that is)...
