This technically challenged new Linux user needs a competent geek to 
give at home help with:

a) restoring a trashed swap space
b) getting me started downloading and installing software using rpm
c) basic command line stuff
d) learning how to do system and file back-ups
e) adding more RAM and getting Suse to recognise it
f) finding my blasted Windows partition and accessing it from Linux
...that'll probably do for a start.

In return, I'll provide you with:

1) a good meal in a reasonable rendition of virtually any ethnic style 
you like, from vegan/vego through to full-on carnivore, (but not steak - 
believe me, you don't want to eat my steak)
2) a warm room or a cool one (weather dependant)
3) petrol/book voucher
4) the satisfaction of knowing you have helped to launch another penguin 
into the world

This may all seem very basic to old penguins or technically competent 
Windows users, but a helping hand at this stage would be great. I 
envisage a couple of hours would give me a head start....:)
