> * What should the name of the organisation be (LinuxNZ, NZ Linux)?
It should call itself the New Zealand Open Source Society. Oh, it already
is!

> * Should the group seek to enhance an already existing group (eg
> NZOSS)?
Yes, by having the group join the NZOSS and helping out when and where they
can.

> * Should it seek to support other Free Operating Systems (*BSD,
> etc)?
Why not!

> * Should it seek to support F/OSS on other Operating Systems, eg
> Mozilla / OpenOffice.org on Windows?
Again, why not!

> * How should the organisation be organised legally?
It should have a consitiution and become an Incorporated Society... like
the New Zealand Open Source Society Inc.

> * What should the nature of the group's relationships with NZOSS
> and Linux Australia be?
The group should join the NZOSS and help where they can.

Seriously folks, we don't need Yet Another Linux Advocacy Group no matter
how well intentioned we might be. If you have time on your hands and want
to be involved please consider just joining the NZOSS. The whole shooting
match is being carried by less than 6 people who all have day jobs and
families. Some help would be appreciated.

Carl

P.S. NZOSS Wellington meeting Wednesday 3rd, Lunchtime, BNZ Centre. I even
have a logo on a stick this time... please don't make me eat on my own
again!
