I use QuoteFix at $bigEvilTelco.  There's no installation required, but I'm 
sure it is against IT policy. However I'd like to see one of the desktop 
nazis *try* to take it off me :o)

I take your point, however.

Top-posting drives me nuts, probably because no one ever did it on 
FidoNet.  But then FidoNet didn't have any spam, and the public echoes 
actually had a To: field, something which still makes sense to me and which 
mailing lists and usenet lack.

My point?  Nostalgia is a fine thing..  but the cat is out of the bag, and 
there's no way we'll rein this puppy back in now top-posting is embedded in 
the consciousness of the general public.

Best to move onto a battle we can win.
