People deliberately and repeatedly going against the convention to 'prove
a point' are simply proving they are rude IMNSHO. If you join almost any
civilised internet forum or mailing list and start breaking their
conventions (e.g. "me too" posts, resurrecting dead threads, cross
posting, creating multiple threads, TOFU, disguised links to porn, posting
in HTML, etc) you are sure to get flamed and/or banned and you certainly
won't get much useful feedback.

Newcomers to a community should do as the existing members do. It's common
courtesy. If you have a better way to do it, by all means share, but don't
just rudely disregard the request and blunder on and annoy people.

This has got nothing to do with diversity or lack of tolerance towards
other's ideas. It's entirely to do with clear communication, manners and
etiquette.

The basic variation is top or bottom posting. For efficient communication,
only one of these should be used. I propose bottom posting, since that is
what most people here use. Top posters should be politely warned and if
they deliberately persist, ignored.

That is all I wanted to say.
